In the 8th century, this temple dedicated to the goddess Durga was the second largest temple in Andhra Pradesh. The beautiful scenic view, river, Gandhi Hill, the huge Prakasam barrage, and Bhavani Island are the prominent attractions of this place.

Inside the temple you will see the icon of the deity holding a powerful weapon in each of her eight arms, piercing the demon Mahishasura with her trident. The deity is ornamented with bright flowers. Undavalli Caves, Vijayawada

At Undavalli caves, you can witness the Indian rock-cut architecture and a memorial to the masonry prowess of the old Indians. The caves are cut out of solid sandstone of the hill in the 4th-century C.E.The most famous among all them is four-story-high with a huge representation of reclining Vishnu, sculpted from a single piece of granite.

Bhavani Island, Vijayawada

Manginapudi Beach, Machilipatnam

Nice Plain and Flat Sand Bed Beach, this place is good for morning and evening walks and casual time spending. Witnessing sunrise while standing on the cool sand is something that you cannot afford to miss. VMC Sibar Disney Land, Vijayawada

A fun and interesting place for kids. Though the difficulty level of water rides here is not much but this is definitely a good option for young kids. The wave pools are really fun. The preferred time to go there is monsoon time because in summers the place remains hot so you might feel uncomfortable.
